My wife, Sandi, had been frequenting several of the recent "Yard Sale" or "Trading Post" type groups on Facebook and had really enjoyed them. However, the format of those groups really doesn't lend itself that well to selling things. Since everything is jumbled together, things are very quickly buried and out of sight. The only solution is to 'bump' the post. This is both a blessing and a curse.
After seeing these groups, I knew the better solution would be a proper forum with categories, multiple images per post, etc. I've had years of experience running large forums (my biggest with over 1.4 million posts in 160,000+ threads), and knew I could offer something valuable to the community.
To keep it easy on you all, I've set it up so that you can quickly log in at each visit with your Facebook credentials. If you'll just click the "Connect" button at the top, you'll be prompted for a bit of info at first then will just need to click the button once each time you log in. Don't worry, we won't ever know your Facebook login or passwords, and we don't ever sell or use your contact info or your friends lists without your permission.
We've tried to come up with a pretty basic category list to start out, but will add and/or split categories as things progress and needs arise. So with that, I'd like to welcome you all to the
